Cozy, are you coming to make your own thigh bag?
In the 17th to the 19th century the women’s skirts were so wide that women under the skirt wore one or two loose pockets, the so-called thigh pockets. The women wore the thigh pocket tied with a ribbon around the waist on the upper underskirt. The thigh pocket was accessible through a split in the side of the dress or skirt.
You go to work and cut, sew and make the pattern for your own thigh pocket.
We provide the material for the thigh bag and you learn the tricks of the trade.
At home you embroider your own pattern with your own yarn at your leisure.
We start work from 10:00 to 14:30 and we provide lunch, coffee or tea at our location in Nijkerk – located right next to the station.
